If youâre still using SP Group as your electricity provider, you can make payment anytime anywhere in three easy steps via the SP app.
- Select âBillsâ tab > âPay Nowâ to pay bill
- Add and save debit or credit card details (Visa/Mastercard/AMEX)
- Select premise and bills to pay > Complete payment
Through CardUp
CardUp is a platform that facilitates bank transactions by charging your credit card the designated amount, along with a small 2.6% administrative fee. This enables you to charge your electricity bills (no pun intended) to your desired credit card to earn cashback, miles, or pointsâeven if your provider does not accept credit card payments directly.
Keep in mind that CardUp transactions are still subject to credit card merchant exclusions. CardUp payments are usually classified as a bill payment service under MCC 7399 (Business Services Not Elsewhere Classified). If your credit card excludes this MCC from earning rewards, you wonât qualify for rebates like cashback, miles, or points.
