Compare UOB EVOL Card vs. HSBC Visa Platinum Card vs. Citi Cash Back + Card

The UOB EVOL Card is just one of the many cards out there that features cash back perks. There are also others like the HSBC Visa Platinum Card and Citi Cash Back+ Card which are among the popular cash back credit card options you would have come across on MoneySmart’s online credit card comparison wizard.

As we compare these 3 credit cards and have a closer look at their requirements and benefits, you’ll notice that the key factors, i.e. interest rates, annual fees, minimum annual income requirements and cash back benefits, may be similar or different

Among the 3 credit cards, the UOB EVOL Card gives you the highest percentage of cash back on your spending on any category - a generous 10% that is higher than the 5% and 1.6% you can get from HSBC Visa Platinum card and Citi Cash Back + card respectively.

However, both the UOB EVOL Card and HSBC Visa Platinum card require a minimum spending requirement of S$600 to earn the stipulated cashback benefits for each card. This is unlike the Citi Cash Back+ Card which does not have any minimum spend requirement and cashback cap per month.

In terms of interest rates and annual fees, all three cards charge the same annual fee of S$196.20 with waivers available (subject to certain spending or transaction requirements) and the HSBC Visa Platinum card offers you the lowest option of 26.90% as compared to the other two cards.
