Things To Note When Travelling Overseas

Since many countries have reopened their borders and welcome tourists back after the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been changes in requirements for travellers entering each country, and that includes certified COVID-19 vaccination, the purchase of travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage, the type of certified hotels which you book, mandatory PCR tests, and several other aspects. Here’s an overview of the usual requirements to keep in mind when you’re travelling now.

Vaccination and quarantine requirements

Many countries have already lifted quarantine policies. However, it is still best to check with the country’s embassy on their latest entry requirements for vaccinations and quarantine before booking your flight tickets.

Travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage

Getting travel insurance is no longer mandatory for most countries, but it is still strongly recommended to be covered with COVID-19. It’ll be really useful if you need medical assistance during your trip, as healthcare expenses can get hefty unlike those in your home country.

VISA application

Unless you’re from a country that is on a visa waiver agreement with the destination country you’re travelling to, you’ll have to apply for a visa via their visa application system to travel there as a tourist or business visitor. The most common kind of visa includes the tourist visa which often grants you a stay of 3 to 12 months.
