DBS 1-for-1 Buffet Promotions FAQ

What is the meaning of DBS 1-for-1?

1-for-1 generally means “buy 1, get 1 free”. If you’re dining as a couple, you will only be charged for 1 person’s share. Or, you can come in an even-numbered group (e.g. 8 pax) and you will only need to pay for half of that (e.g. 4). Effectively, you save up to 50%. Note that you may need to pay service charge for the people who dine for “free”, and there is usually a maximum number of people per booking.

Do I get DBS points or cashback at buffets?

Yes, on top of the 1-for-1 buffet promotion, you can generally get whatever standard benefits your credit card provides. Depending on which DBS credit card you use, you may be able to earn rewards points, miles or cash back on your dining bill.

Which DBS credit card is the best?

For casual dining, the best DBS credit card to use is the DBS Live Fresh Card, but make sure you pay via Visa payWave to get the 5% cashback on contactless payment. However, you may not be able to pay by payWave at hotel restaurants. We recommend the DBS Altitude Card instead, which lets you earn 1.2 miles per S$1 spent. There is no cap on the miles you earn, so you can sign for a big group too.
