There are 4 types of UOB credit card rewards programs: UOB UNI$ rewards points, UOB PRVI air miles, UOB SMART$ cash rebates, and cashback. If you’re holding a UOB cashback card, such as the UOB YOLO card, cashback will be automatically credited to your credit card statement.

UOB UNI$ rewards points

Most UOB credit cards such as UOB Privilege, Visa, American Express, PRVI, Lady’s, UnionPay, and UOB business cards like Gold and Platinum will offer you UNI$ rewards points. UOB UNI$ rewards points earned will show up on your monthly credit card statement and expire in 2 years. UOB rewards points redemption in Singapore takes 7 working days. Sign in to UOB Rewards online to redeem your UOB UNI$ points for retail, dining, travel vouchers, Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles, and more.

UOB PRVI air miles

The UOB PRVI Miles American Express, World MasterCard, or Visa cards does not directly award you PRVI miles per transaction. Instead, you’re first awarded UOB UNI$ rewards points for your purchases. You’ll then have to enrol in the UOB Rewards Frequent Flyer Conversion program to redeem your UNI$ points for Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles or Asia Miles only, subject to a S$25 (excluding tax) transfer fee.

UOB SMART$ cash rebates

UOB SMART$ is a cash rebate program that is present throughout all UOB credit cards, except for UOB PRVI Miles Platinum Amex card, UOB Preferred Platinum Amex card, UOB UnionPay Platinum card, and UOB Travel Account card. You can only earn UOB SMART$ rebates and use the rebate dollars to offset payments from a list of participating merchants listed on the UOB SMART$ Privileges website, such as Cold Storage, Giant, Cathay Cineplexes, and Guardian. SMART$ dollars expire in 6 months. Exclusions such as discounted items, instalment payment plans, and contactless transactions apply.

How do you apply for a UOB Credit Card online? Visit the UOB Singapore credit cards website, click on your credit card of choice, and you will see an “Apply online” option. You will then be led to an online application form where you can fill in, submit, and wait for UOB to respond to your application via email. If you’re an existing UOB banking customer, you can apply for UOB credit cards via i banking and enjoy instant approval within office hours.
