Singlife Travel Insurance Singapore 2024

Singlife is known for the higher than average medical expenses coverage and provides a comprehensive range of coverage in its three tiers of travel insurance plans: Lite, Plus, and Prestige. Beyond medical expenses, Singlife Travel Insurance plans also cover a variety of other travel-related risks. If you're worried about losing frequent flyer points due to trip cancellations or disruptions, Singlife's plans have you covered. Additionally, the Plus and Prestige plans offer the flexibility of trip cancellation for any reason, providing you with peace of mind. Before making a decision, let's weigh the pros and cons of its range of products and services, and see if it's suitable for your travel needs as compared to other travel insurance providers.

Singlife Travel Insurance Coverage & Other Key Benefits

High overseas medical coverage

Depending on the plan you select, you can receive coverage for overseas medical treatments ranging from up to $250,000 to unlimited claim benefits. This includes expenses for accidental dental care, chiropractic and Chinese medicine treatments, as well as hospital income both abroad and locally in Singapore, among other benefits.

Unlimited emergency medical expenses and evacuation coverage

Singlife’s plans offer extensive benefits for emergency medical expenses and evacuation. This includes unlimited coverage for emergency transportation to the nearest suitable medical facility, hospitalizations, surgeries, medications, and other medical costs incurred due to unexpected illness or injury while overseas, as well as related emergency services. This level of coverage is notably more generous compared to many other travel insurance options available in Singapore, which often have limits.

“Cancel for any reason” benefit

Available exclusively for the Plus and Prestige plans, this feature allows you to cancel, postpone, or curtail your trip for any reason, subject to the terms and conditions of your policy. Note that claims under this benefit can cover up to 50% of your travel, accommodation, and entertainment costs charged by licensed providers. The policy must be purchased before or within 7 days of making the initial payment or deposit.

Protection against terrorism

Singlife’s travel insurance provides substantial terrorism coverage, with limits ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 depending on the plan you choose (Lite, Plus, or Prestige). For specifics on terrorism-related losses, refer to your policy's terms and coverage limits.

Adventurous activities coverage

Optional coverage for adventurous activities can be added to any Singlife plan—whether family/group, single-trip, or annual—and across all tiers. This includes coverage for extreme sports and activities like cave tubing, dinghy sailing, yachting, kite boating, jet skiing, and white-water rafting. However, coverage specifics may vary, so it is best to refer to the latest list in your policy.
