The Entry plan which is the lowest tier of the Tiq Travel insurance, covers you for overseas medical expenses incurred of up to $200,000, up to $5,000 ($200 per 24 hrs) of overseas hospital allowance in the event you’re diagnosed with COVID-19, up to $500 ($50 per 24 hrs) of hospital allowance in Singapore, baggage delay benefit ($100 every 6 hours), and other benefits.

However, there are no coverage benefits for hospital visits, compassionate visits, and children's guardian for the Entry plan.

You’ll get more than double the coverage for overseas medical expenses and if you get COVID-19, you’ll be insured with up to $7,500 for medical expenses incurred in Singapore and 14 days of automatic extension of cover, which are much more as compared to the Entry plan.

Moreover, there’s coverage for COVID-19 related hospital visits, compassionate visits, and child’s guardian of up to $2,500, $5,000 and $2,500 respectively, and higher claim benefits for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of up to $1,500,000, personal liability of up to $500,000.

The coverage is similar to the Savvy plan, except with higher claim limits for aspects such as trip cancellation, loss or damage of baggage, overseas COVID-19 diagnosis quarantine allowance, travel curtailment and disruption, overseas hospital income of up to $20,000, and more. Additional benefits include home contents cover of up to $10,000,and claims for inflight personal accidents of up to $500,000.

Depending on what type of claim you’re making, there are different deadlines for different claims. For instance, for the loss of personal baggage and belongings like a laptop, you’re required to make the report within 24 hours of the incident. COVID-19 medical expenses or damaged baggage. As for travel postponement claims, you have to inform Tiq by Etiqa Insurance within 30 days of the incident. You may refer to Tiq’s travel claims requirements here.

It is best to inform Tiq within the required time periods so as to avoid breaching the policy’s terms and conditions, which may affect your claim process. In order to provide a full context of the incident and for Tiq to assess your claim or claims, you’ll need to provide all documentation that Tiq requests. This include:

• Medical reports and related evidence in the form of photos and/or emails
• Proof of ownership of baggage or other related items
• Trip invoices, ticket confrontation, boarding passes, photocopy of passport and visas
• Original invoices and receipts
• Police, airline, transport and accommodation reports

Once you’ve submitted all the documents required via Tiq by Etiqa app or their claims portal at TiqConnect, you will receive a claim acknowledgement, before Tiq proceeds to review your claim.

You’ll receive an SMS to your mobile number registered with Tiq upon the completion of the PayNow transaction. Do note that all payouts are only made to the NRIC number of the policyholder.
