Singtel Travel Insurance in Singapore 2025

Underwritten by Great Eastern, Singtel Travel Insurance offers comprehensive travel protection across three tiers—Value, Economy, and Premium plan—alongside unique Singtel mobile-related benefits like Phone Care, Bill Protect, and Data Rescue stemming from personal accidents, damage or loss to personal belongings, and/or travel disruptions.

While these exclusive Singtel mobile benefits keep customers connected and financially secure abroad, Singtel goes beyond with their extensive travel insurance coverage too. With coverage of up to $15,000 in trip cancellations, up to $1 million overseas medical expenses and evacuation, and access to a 24/7 emergency services hotline, your safety overseas will not be compromised.

Singtel Travel Insurance COVID-19 Coverage and Other Key Benefits

Beyond the standard coverage, Singtel Travel Insurance also includes COVID-19 benefits. Let’s take a closer look at what the extent of their coverage entails:

Trip Disruption / Cancellation

Up to $15,000 per insured person for trip disruptions or cancellations covering extra travel expenses or the cost of the unused portion of non-recoverable travel expenses (e.g. Economy class), accommodation and entertainment tickets (e.g. theme park admissions, musicals, plays, concerts, sports events, etc.) that were bought in advance.

Trip Postponement / Travel Delay

For trip delays, you’re entitled to $100 per insured person per every 6 consecutive hours, up to a maximum of $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 depending on your plan’s tier. Whereas for trip postponements, you’ll be covered up to $4,000 per insured person for non-recoverable admin fees and charges stemming from travel expenses and accommodation costs bought in advance.

Emergency Medical Evacuation & Repatriation

Coverage includes up to $1 million for emergency medical evacuation and up to $20,000 for repatriation to transport the insured person’s body or ashes back to Singapore in the event of death overseas during the trip.

Accidental Death and Permanent Disability

Up to $500,000 for accidental death and permanent disablement occurring during the trip, in addition to up to $1 million for public transport double indemnity coverage. However, do note that the latter is not covered under Singtel Travel Protect’s Value plan, only from the Economy plan onwards.

Baggage Delay, Damage or Loss

Baggage delay is covered for $200 per insured person for every 6 consecutive hours while overseas, with a maximum limit of up to $2,000 depending on plan tier.

Meanwhile, loss or damage to baggage, clothing, and other personal effects are covered up to $8,000 per insured person—with up to maximum $500 for any single article or pair or set of articles, maximum $1,000 for laptop computer, netbook, and tablet, and maximum $500 in total for handphones and spectacles.

Other losses of personal belongings due to personal theft or natural disasters are covered up to $8,000, with a sub-limit of up to $500 for money.

Adventure Sports & Rental Vehicle Excess

The Singtel Travel Protect is also good for adventurous travelers, covering high-adrenaline activities such as bungee jumping, canoeing or white-water rafting, jet-skiing, mountaineering, paragliding, and more. The full list of covered activities can be found in the policy wording.

For road trips or general vehicle rental, do note that only the Premium plan includes up to $500 reimbursement for rental vehicle excess in case of a car accident.
