Flexibility to purchase coverage after flight departure

This feature is exclusively available for per-trip plans (Income’s Travel Insurance plans and Enhance PreX Travel Insurance plans), and gives great convenience in situations when you forget to buy your travel insurance plans after you've departed Singapore.
*Just note that it must be purchased within 24 hours after you’ve departed Singapore.

Unlimited no. of children covered in Family Cover

Income Travel Insurance’s Family cover provides coverage for you and your spouse at the time of purchase and any number of children as long as you are the legal parent or legal guardian of your children, and your child(ren) must be insured under the same policy as you. At the same time, you and your family members must travel together if insured under single trip plans (not applicable for yearly plans).

    3 Steps to Submit your Income Travel insurance claim

    Step 1

    Prepare your supporting documents

    When claiming with Income Insurance, scan or photograph original documents for online submission and keep the originals for six months, as they may be needed for review.

    The supporting documents include:

  • Medical reports and related evidence in the form of photos and/or emails
  • Proof of ownership of baggage or other related items
  • Trip invoices, ticket confrontation, boarding passes, photocopy of passport and visas
  • Original invoices and receipts Police, airline, transport and accommodation reports

    Fill in your details and upload supporting documents

    Once your supporting documents are ready, you can file your claim at Income Insurance’s Online Claims Portal , enter your details and upload supporting documents. Alternatively, use the My Income app for mobile submissions. This documentation helps Income Travel Insurance assess your claim.

    Step 3

    Wait for Approval of claim and settlement

    After submitting your claim via Income's portal, you'll receive an acknowledgment email.     Income Travel Insurance Refunds & Cancellations

    As long as you’ve bought a single trip, multi-trip or family travel insurance policy from Income Travel Insurance, you may be able to claim for overseas transport and accommodation expenses if your trip has been cancelled or shortened. However, the event has to take place after you have bought your policy and the event has to occur within 30 days before you depart Singapore. Another thing to consider is that the policy must be bought three days (or earlier) from the day of leaving Singapore unless the event is only accidental in nature.

    If your claim is eligible for payment, it may take about 15 working days to process your claims after all required documents are received. Note that the processing time and disbursements during travel peak periods may take longer.

    Does Income travel insurance cover my trip cancellation/postponement expenses if I am diagnosed with COVID-19 prior to my trip?

    Yes, if you have purchased your policy three days (or earlier) from the day you leave Singapore, we will respond to claim arising from COVID-19 for benefits stated in your Income Travel Insurance plans policy for cancelling your trip (Section 1) or postponing your trip (Section 2), with submission of valid supporting documents.
